Bridges Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Bridge Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Norfolk at Tarmac.  We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds. 

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Bridges Agent you will be responsible for the Health, Safety and Welfare of small works gangs, sub-contractors and site visitors. You will be responsible for: 

• Planning bridge maintenance works by ordering plant and materials 

• Ensuring road space permits are in place 

• Mobilising larger sites and undertaking regular inspections to ensure works are being carried out in line with Tarmac policies and procedures.   

• Leading by example to ensure works are delivered safely to a set programme, within the commercial targets agreed with the Client. 

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful within this role the ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in small works crew supervision. They will also: 

• Have experience of delivering repairs in and over the water on a variety of structures, in various locations across the county. 

• Be IT literate  

• Be able to communicate with stakeholders of various seniority levels via phone, email and remote platforms such as Microsoft Teams 

• Ideally will have obtained CSCS and NRSWA qualifications  

• Have experience in main contractor Health and Safety and Environmental procedures and responsibilities
