Business Systems Coordinator - HS2 Align JV

Job Introduction

Tarmac are recruiting for Business Systems Coordinator for Europe’s largest infrastructure project, HS2. HS2 Ltd will be the UK’s new high speed rail network. As well as improving capacity, the new scheme will shorten journey times between a number of Britain’s major population centres, boost the economy and create thousands of jobs.  

The successful candidate will provide support to the project management team responsible for the supply of all readymix and precast concrete on Section C1 of HS2. In addition you will be responsible for collating and preparing data reports and other key performance indicator metrics, ensuring the Align JV equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and skills, employment and education (SEE) contractual requirements are adhered to and best working practices are met at all times. You’ll support the project management team in ensuring a consistent approach to the management and control of the sites.

Role Responsibility

In this role you will be responsible for a number of tasks including: 

  • Collating and formatting monthly statistics and reports for Project Manager, ensuring timely receipt of information from Management Team
  • Supporting the commercial manager to ensure business administration processes are completed accurately and within the timescales required
  • Providing operational administration support to the production manager and quality manager
  • Working with wider commercial teams to ensure efficient processing of sales admin tasks, including: ticketing, sales invoice queries, month end targets and reporting
  • Supporting the contract SLA process through quote set-up and management
  • Ensuring management and control of environmental management systems, quality management systems, health and safety documentation, ensuring the site audit requirements are maintained.
  • Ensuring appropriate follow up and escalation of issues to allow compliance with ticketing and invoice query turnaround times
  • Ensuring ALIGN JV EDI and SEE reporting deadlines are met
  • Administration of the Biosite induction system for all Tarmac employees on the HS2 C1 project

The Ideal Candidate

As our ideal Business Systems Coordinator, you will have the ability to work effectively in a  team environment and be able to demonstrate your competent computer literacy skills which are essential for this role. Ideally you’ll be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook and SAP. You should possess proven organisational and time management skills and have experience of communication over a range of levels. In addition your ability to work with a wide team of stakeholders across all project and regional functions would be beneficial.
