Capacity Planner (FTC)

We are currently looking for a Capacity Planner (Maternity Cover) to join our team on a fixed term, 12 months basis.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, You will optimise all program of works maximising both Volume and best economic source principles whilst reacting in a timely fashion to any internal or external unplanned events. 

You will support fleet and transport planners to ensure high levels of vehicle utilisation and low levels of haulier queries. As well as ensure that our internal and external Customers receive the high levels of service and communication expected from the office and regional-based distribution staff. 

The Ideal Candidate

This is a varied and rewarding position that would benefit from applicants having prior knowledge of transport planning, although this is not essential as full training will be given. 

Skills that are essential is to be highly organised and ability to multi-task. 

Having the ability to think on your feet and excellent communication skills will also stand you in good stead along with the ability to influence and negotiate with our haulage community to reach the end goal.
