Capacity Planner (Maternity Leave Cover)

We are currently looking for a Capacity Planner (Maternity Cover) to join our team in Mountsorrel, Loughborough. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.
The capacity planner will be expected to communicate all production and planning decisions taken effectively to cross functional piers and unit management to make sure that ‘no surprises’ occur. They will also be responsible to achieve optimum balance between cost of supply and service.
Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Distribution Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
- Cost effective distribution of Tarmac’s products to external and internal Customers
- Customer satisfaction
- Assisting fleet planners to create programs to enhance utilisation and efficiencies of internal and external fleet
- Building and maintaining detailed forward programs
- Supporting the delivery of the regional logistics strategy
- Identifying and building affective links to influence and support cross border supplies
- Ensuring details of Capacity and forward program and plan are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
- Reacting quickly and efficiently to any unplanned events that affect adherence to program
- Actively seek invites to Customer liaison meeting with key account or during major projects
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate would be required to go 'on call' in rotation with other planners to cover evenings and weekends. They will also possess:

- Customer requirements for delivery of different products
- Distribution processes
- Cost effective service provision
- Product/Technical knowledge
- Company structure/reporting
- Production (aggregates and asphalt)
- Liaising with customers (internal & external)
- Understanding of transport planning systems
