Commercial Excellence Manager - CRH Leviat

Role Responsibility

We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Commercial Excellence Manager to join our team based flexibly either in the UK or wider Europe.

As Commercial Excellence Manager you'll work in close coordination with the Regional Sales Teams and Regional Commercial Excellence Managers to identify and plan appropriate commercial improvement projects and pricing strategies which will maximise revenue growth and margin for the region.

In addition, you'll also work with the CRH Commercial Excellence Steering committee and will be the link between specialized CRH central teams and Leviat commercial teams.

In this role you'll:

  • Support the delivery of Leviat Commercial Strategy
  • Drive the implementation of commercial improvement projects
  • Share COMEX best practices to optimize sales efforts and resource utilization
  • Utilise the relevant data from SAP and other ERP systems to measure sales team performance using KPI's
  • Deliver the best use of CRM to support COMEX
  • Communicate business cases and agree targets with regional leadership for commercial projects and also be responsible for working with relevant cross-functional project teams to ensure that project targets are achieved.
  • Use the relevant COMEX digital tools for the analysis of commercial data to ensure adherence to pricing policy and identify further opportunities.
  • In conjunction with regional Commercial Excellence managers, carry out annual customer segmentation reviews and use the results to recommend an appropriate pricing strategy to regional management.
  • Ensure regular reporting on commercial skills improvement projects via the COMEX Hub
  • Work with digital COMEX tools – Sales Dashboard / Cross – Selling Dashboard / Stock Dashboard to support data and drive decision making
  • Further develop KPI dashboards (Microsoft Power BI) to assist the country strategy execution
  • Develop and maintain governance for use of the CRM system and ensure alignment with other relevant commercial processes
  • Drive the continuous improvement of sales and processes, sales capabilities and tools and supporting systems
  • Support the sales team to drive the business growth and proactively analyze variances versus budget and sales history
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape and build market intelligence reports

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a COMEX role, within or outside of CRH
  • To be a good communicator – comfortable with presenting business cases to senior leadership and working with all levels of sales teams to implement projects and best practices
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Strong analytic skills. (Experience of using BI software for data analysis – knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is preferred)

To be fluent in English, both written and spoken. (Language skills in German and / or French would be an advantage)
