Commercial Manager - Asphalt

We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team in Snodland, Kent, ME6 5PJ. You will be working within our Aggregates & Asphalt Business Unit.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director you will deliver and manage the Aggregates & Asphalt commercial strategy for the commercial teas to optimise the margin and profitability of product lines including value added products.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

• Work with members of the wider Commercial team and other senior leaders across the region to ensure strategies are supported and embedded.
• Highlight innovation and develop into the business
• Analyse and interpret a variety of commercial information and apply a profitable mind-set.
• Ensure pricing discipline within the A&A external commercial team to ensure expected results are delivered.
• Expected to be adaptable to the demands and plan objectives promptly, with minimal impact to customers.
• To develop relationships and manage key customers.
• Coach and performance manage all direct reports.
• Work alongside the commercial director to drive the commercial excellence programmes within the day to day activities of the commercial function.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires an experienced Commercial professional. The successful candidate will also: 

• Experience of developing and driving a commercial strategy and delivering budgeting targets

• Have excellent communication and organisational skills 

• Have management experience 

• Have strong Commercial acumen   

Education: 

• Educated to Degree level or other industry relevant higher level qualification
