Concrete Technician (Nights)

We are currently looking for a Concrete Technician (Night Shift) to join our friendly team at Tallington Precast Plant based in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will focus on the all quality aspects for the manufacture and production of concrete aggregate blocks at a site-based level, this role is there to provide support to the site operational team as well as the central Quality Management with the day to day QA/QC testing associated to aggregate block manufacture.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assisting with the daily sampling and testing of concrete specimens (Fresh and Hardened) to the relevant British Standards and high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within reasonable timescales.
- Keeping accurate and legible records of all works undertaken.
- Ensuring that test equipment used is checked, in calibration before use, cleaned and maintained after each use.
- Processing test specimens through the laboratory and ensuring all samples are marked and stored correctly.
- Carrying out regular laboratory maintenance and general housekeeping.
- Working as a team and maintaining communication with the batch plant operators and other relevant site operatives.
- Reporting any anomaly/Non-conformity to Supervisor/Line manager immediately or as soon as possible.
The Ideal Candidate
As the successful candidate, you will ideally possess previous experience working as a Quality Technician or Quality Inspector within a Concrete manufacturing environment.
However, we are willing to consider candidates with general Quality Control knowledge and higher A-level grades in Chemistry.
