We are currently looking for a Connect & Digital Manager to join our team based at our Solihull Head Office. Although the team in Solihull, the successful candidate be based anywhere within commutable distance of a Tarmac site with the understanding that you’ll need to travel to other sites as required. We are currently operating a hybrid method of working.

 

In this role you will be responsible for the Connect & Digital portfolio of applications and initiatives developed over the previous 5 years and an integral part of Tarmac’s digital and commercial strategy for the next 5 years and beyond.  This is a key role in understanding business and customer digital requirements and working with the IT teams to develop and deliver systems and processes designed to optimise the customer and user experience.  You’ll be the business product owner of Tarmac’s foundational digital platforms: Salesforce CRM, Connect Portal, ePOD & eGRN.  

In addition, you’ll be working to challenging, often multiple to tight timescales and budgets for project delivery.

Role Responsibility

In this role you will be responsible for a number of tasks including: 

  • Acting as the business product owner for Connect & Digital initiatives inc. Salesforce, Connect Portal, ePOD
  • Working on Strategic and Tactical Initiative developments that ensure the roadmap is aligned with the company vision and strategy
  • Being an active member of the Product Owner Community in various disciplines
  • Taking responsibility for managing the periodic system testing for C&D products
  • Playing a key role in new digital projects involved in design, build, testing, training and rollout
  • Acting as business subject matter expert when supporting IT in projects
  • Supporting National Commercial teams interacting with Tier 1 customers including new bids, project delivery, digital requests and collaboration
  • Business owner of Tarmac BIM objects
  • Having budget responsibility for Connect & Digital annual spend
  • Supporting business users of Salesforce, ePOD etc.
  • Managing the support of users (customers/Tarmac) for the Connect Portal
  • Being responsible for license management for users, maintaining records

The Ideal Candidate

As the ideal candidate your qualifications/experience/skills will include:

  • Educated to degree standard or able to demonstrate appropriate significant and relevant experience in a similar role
  • ITIL certified/trained
  • Accredited by relevant software vendors (where available)
  • Effective communication - technical and non-technical
  • Supports innovative and agile thinking
  • Adept at defining & building system solutions from business requirements
  • Creative systems design and rigorous implementation
  • Leading problem analysis and problem solving
  • Mentoring / Coaching
  • Adept at producing high quality documentation
  • Process orientation - capable of quality process mapping
