We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Site Manager to join our management team based in Mountsorrel Quarry, Leicestershire. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Mountsorrel Quarry is a granite quarry, locally and nationally renowned for its distinctive pink rock, which is in high demand for some of the country's biggest construction projects.

Role Responsibility

As the Construction site Manager, you’ll be mainly responsible for managing and controling the day to day construction site and contractor activities during the Mountsorrel Primary Development Project.

You will ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations and other associated legislation as well as full compliance with all relevant Tarmac standards & procedures.

You will also achieve the PDP objectives as determined by the Major Projects Manager and wider project team with regards to cost, time and quality KPI’s.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working as a Construction Manager, Site Manager or Construction Project Manager gained within a fast-paced, heavy industry environment with experience in managing a blue-collar workforce, effective engagement with contractors, successful management and control of budgets and demonstrable ability of leading and improving project delivery operations. 

Key to your success will be your exceptional communication skills. As an influential and persuasive leader you will have a successful track record in managing, developing, motivating and inspiring both direct reports and people in your wider organisation to cultivate strong, engaged and competent teams.
