We are currently recruiting for a Cost Clerk to join our team on the A391 North Devon Link Road Project located between Barnstaple and South Molton. This important and strategic scheme involves the widening of the existing carriageway into three-lane running while maintaining current traffic flow.
Role Responsibility
As a member of the Commercial Team and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager you will be expected to understand and accept verbal and written instruction and be responsible for:

Gathering and collating goods-received documentation, receipts, invoices and timesheets.

Verify accuracy of documents and allocate to appropriate cost codes.

Reconcile documentation and goods received against Purchase Orders.

Compile and update spreadsheet for on-going cost registers

Assist commercial team in preparation of monthly submissions

Assist commercial team in procurement of materials and supplies

Monitor labour, plant and goods costs allocated to the project

Supporting the project team in collating documentation.

Compilation of records and documents
The Ideal Candidate
Successful candidates will, preferably, have previous similar experience within the Civil Engineering industry. Candidates would be expected to have experience and knowledge of the following disciplines:

To have good communication skills, both verbal and written

To be numerate

To be proficient in Microsoft Excel

To be able to perform under pressure
-
To be motivated and enthusiastic
However, we are prepared to consider those candidates with no previous experience if they display an aptitude and enthusiasm for the role.
