EPOD Co-ordinator

We are currently looking for a Coordinator for our electronic material and waste management system, EPOD.   

 

We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.  We operate a flexible working policy, this role could be undertaken at home or from any of our office locations with some travel to our head office at Abergavenny.   

The role will cover all internal movements of materials and waste managed by Griffith’s fleet and external movements managed by third party hauliers for our infrastructure and rail projects across Wales and South West England.

 

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Transport Manager, within the Plant and Transport Department and working closely with the Future Generations Team and our projects, your duties will include:

  • Support the delivery, development and day to day management of the EPOD system within Griffiths
  • Working with internal and external supply chain to support hauliers with the EPOD Application
  • Preparation and distribution of performance reporting relating to EPOD
  • Act as point of contact for all EPOD queries
  • Support Griffiths with its legal duty of care responsibilities for the classification and movement of materials, products and waste
  • Review the performance of users and work to develop and implement system improvements

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal

Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience in management of databases

Self-starter able to manage deadlines

Excellent communications skills – written and verbal

Effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently using own initiative

Ability to challenge constructively

 

Desirable

Experience of working on large civil engineering/building infrastructure projects and/or construction industry

Knowledge and understanding of EPOD System

Experience working with Power Bi to produce KPI dashboards

Working knowledge and understanding of waste management legislation, specifically waste classification requirements, duty of care, waste carriers requirements
