We’re currently looking for a passionate and driven Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our successful and innovative Land Development Team. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Actively contributing to improving the sector’s safety performance by complying with the company’s health and safety requirements for the role
- Carrying out environmental monitoring on the Company’s sites, including quarries and landfills in line with Company procedures and Industry best practice
- Planning and managing own time and workload on a month by month basis
- Inputting collected data into the MP5 monitoring database ensuring that monitoring data is inputted correctly and accurately
- Supporting the maintenance of site environmental management plans for closed landfills in line with Environmental Management System requirements
- Support regulatory engagement with regard to closed landfill sites
- Undertake other environmental monitoring duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring and the collection of monitoring data, practices and procedure, and their application to the business
- Knowledge of waste management and quarry operations
- Clear and effective communicator with a range of stakeholders
- Able to prioritise work, to work under own initiative with the ability to work to fixed deadlines, to understand and follow procedures
- Good time management skills
