Finance Manager - (15 month FTC)
Job Introduction
About the Role
Reporting into the Head of Finance for South West & Wales, the successful Finance Manager will be working in the regional Finance team within Tarmac’s Materials business. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager seeking to widen their experience base and demonstrate their ability to add value in a senior finance role either business facing, in Group Finance or in strategic roles.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you as the successful Finance Manager will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)
- Working on Financial governance and control
- Providing critical support to the management teams as part of the decision making process, including tactical planning and decisions
- Leading the provision of accurate, timely and SOx compliant accounting information
- Driving process improvement and efficiencies
- Taking involvement in major strategic projects within the region
- Leading on strategic projects
- Working on the provision of management information
- Coordinating, assessing and driving through value adding capital investment opportunities
**Please note that this position is for a 15-month fixed-term contract** Furthermore, you will need from time to time to work at our Bristol site and it is not essential if you do not live within a commutable distance; you just need to work from the Bristol site when required**
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Finance Manager who ideally has:
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience in financial appraisals and financial modelling
- Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
- Experience of working on strategic projects is desirable
