We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to cover the West Midlands at our Washwood Heath Asphalt Plant to join our exciting and rapidly expanding HS2 team.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Maintenance and Systems Manager, you will provide an effective link between the Operations and Engineering teams, delivering a high level of service across varied mechanical engineering - related activities. You will be working closely with all members of the facility, effectively carrying out preventative maintenance tasks and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs with a keen eye for continuous improvement. Finally, you will actively contribute to ensuring high safety standards on the site.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role you will have experience in the repair, maintenance and upgrade of factory or manufacturing plants. You will also:

• Have relevant skills in fabrication and welding
• Ideally have good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Be flexible in your working approach
• Be organised and have excellent communication skills 
• Be computer literate (Microsoft Office) 

Finally, you will need to travel across the West Midlands region, including visits to the sites at:

• Meriden
• Kenilworth
• Wash Wood
• Chipping Warden
• Greatworth
• Fosseway
• Coleshill
