We are currently looking for a Ganger to join our Highways team.

Role Responsibility

The Norfolk Highways Maintenance contract requires a multi-skilled Ganger to work in a busy environment delivering highway maintenance works to Norfolk County Council.

A flexible approach to the working day is required, weekend work and night work is possible and can be expected. 

Your main responsibilities will cover supervising a wide range of highway maintenance works such as groundworks, drainage, kerbing, concreting and asphalting.

You will be responsible for managing a work gang and reporting directly to a Site Supervisor. 

Your role will be to ensure works are delivered within programme, in a safe manner, and commercial targets are met.  

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, as well as:  

• UK Drivers License
• SMSTS/SSSTS/IOSH 
• Ganger experience – preferably within the civil engineering industry 
• Have a flexible working approach (in terms of working hours)
