We are currently looking for a Gate Person to join our offices in Bristol. Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Bristol, Yate, Bedminster, Clifton, St Paul’s, St Anne’s, Brislington, St Georges, Whitchurch, Knowle, Southville, Stoke Gifford, Filton, Keynsham, Portishead, Nailsea, Clevedon, Almondsbury.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Gate Person will be working at the short stay car park of Bristol Airport and will be responsible greeting customers and conducting security checks. You will also monitor traffic at the gate and regularly patrol the premises.

On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the Gate Person will include (not exhaustive)

• Greeting visitors and employees as they enter the premises' gate
• Making sure all visitors & employees are signed in and out at the gate & explain the speed limit & site hazards
• Monitoring traffic at the gate
• Ensuring a streamlined traffic flow within the site to ensure the site does not impact the main airport traffic accessing the terminal
• Directing visitors to ideal parking spots to ease movements around the entrance and exit areas
• Whilst patrolling, checking for signs of forced entry or intrusions along a temporary hoarding line towards the end of each shift
• Reporting daily activities and security incidents like the presence of unauthorised persons or theft
• Report directly to the site manager when large amounts of lorries / deliveries are planned
• Directing deliveries to the correct areas of the site

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a Gate Person who has had prior experience in the same or similar type of role and is happy speaking with customers daily and is happy writing reports at the end of each shift or workday.
