Granulation Plant Operative

We are currently looking for a Granulation Plant Chargehand to join our friendly team at our site in Port Talbot, South Wales

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Granulation Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• The safe operation of Tarmac's Granulation Plant at Tata Steel Works in Port Talbot
• Working as part of an operational team with focus on Safety and Production
• Leading a small team of qualified operatives
• Operating heavy equipment used in the digging of blast furnace slag pits
• General housekeeping

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience of working within a similar role and industry. You will also:

• Have knowledge of on-site Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Ideally will have experience of using heavy equipment in the digging of blast furnace slag pits
• Ideally have experience within a Supervisory position
• Possess knowledge of Granulation or similar operations
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Possess good communication and organisational skills
• Be flexible in your working approach
