HR Manager - Maternity Cover

Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced regional HR Manager to join our team working on a fixed term contract basis covering maternity leave. You will support multiple Tarmac sites across the South East of England (including Hertfordshire, Essex, Sussex, Kent and London) delivering a comprehensive, commercially focused HR service to our site management teams.

This regional HR Manager role will enable you to take ownership of talent attraction and development, cultivate high levels of employee engagement, and embed a performance management culture, whilst ensuring the coaching and development of teams is placed high on the agenda.

 

Role Responsibility

Reporting into the Senior HR Manager the role of HR Manager for the South East region will represent the HR function by coaching and supporting the management teams across the business units to ensure national, business unit and local priorities relating to our People strategy are achieved. This will include collaborating with Resourcing, Early Careers, Talent, Inclusion and Diversity, Learning and Development, HR Services & Payroll teams, but not limited to. .

As HR Manager you will manage all employee relations for your business areas, inclusive of organisational design and delivery including TUPE coupled with building employee relationships to help drive a culture of consistency, equality and fairness in our handling of employee relations matters, challenging stakeholders where appropriate and utilising relevant HR KPI data.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Suitable candidates for the role of HR Manager will be working in a similar position and possess CIPD level 5 (ideally level 7) or equivalent experience. You will also have a comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices, coupled with relevant business experience and professional development.

The role of HR Manager will suit a well organised, agile and resilient HR professional who also has high integrity and the ability to challenge, impact and influence others as well as the drive to succeed and improve. A full UK driving licence is essential.

This role is open to candidates from across the region – whether you’re in Cambridge, Colchester, Chelmsford, Snodland, Chatham, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Bedford, Brentford, Luton if you enjoy hybrid working then this is ideal for YOU!
