Sales Coordinator (Internal Sales)

We are currently looking for a Sales Coordinator (Internal Sales) to join our friendly team based in Mountsorrel Site in Quorn, near Loughborough in Leicestershire.

The role of Sales Coordinator (Internal Sales) is easily commutable from Loughborough, Leicester, Melton Mowbray and the surrounding areas.  Due to the nature of the role, hybrid working may be considered on completion of successful training.

We are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds, therefore prior technical experience isn’t always necessary for success. 

Role Responsibility

As the Sales Coordinator (Internal Sales) you will have worked in a similar industry providing either internal or external sales support to your wider team and the Tarmac group. Other responsibilities for this role will include; not exhaustive:

  • Demonstrate an excellent telephone manner when dealing with customers
  • Prioritise and multitask daily duties
  • Handling incoming B2B telephone calls and emails
  • Understanding and assessing customer needs
  • Supporting customers by handling their requests or directing to a relevant department
  • Represent the company and its core values
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate CRM and SAP records
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Engage with the customer to better understand requirements
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate with the supply chain to obtain pricing, stock levels and lead times
  • Maintain proactive customer communication with enquiry handling and order status updates

The Ideal Candidate

It is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Sales Coordinator (Internal Sales) will be experienced in the following:

  • SAP and CRM systems
  • Working collaboratively with the existing team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Showing a ‘Proud to work for Tarmac’ attitude, building rapport and positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues
  • Being ambitious to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goal

In the role of Sales Coordinator (Internal Sales), you will also have:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Numeracy and analytical ability

Training will be provided for:

  • Products, Procedures and our Computer systems
