Internal Sales Representative

We are currently looking for an Internal Sales Representative to join our friendly team based in our Tarmac site in Buxton, Derbyshire. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

As an Internal Sales Representative, you will be supporting the TBP Sales and Service Strategy by acquiring, growing and retaining customer portfolio through effective account management activities.

You will also be responsible for maximising customer spend opportunities to win and secure orders through building relationships with customers, providing excellence in Customer Service and Sales negotiation. Furthermore, you'll verify account plans for agreed customers in territory and support account management plans of key customer accounts. 

The Internal Sales Representative will drive customer excellence in line with What Good Looks Like “WGLL” ensuring that we cover all services provided to the customers and the support required for the external teams.   

On a day to day basis, the successful candidate's roles and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Process customer orders in line with processes / commercial requirements 
  • Deliver excellent customer service as part of WGLL 

  • Handle all incoming calls - one call resolution 

  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures 

  • Accurate data input  

  • Administration housekeeping, such as accurate and timely monthly activity and achievement reporting  

  • Converting quotations enquiries into sales  

  • Utilise Glenigan intelligence to identify and win new accounts*****  

  • Create and maintain customer account call plans 

  • Achieve required Customer Account targets 

  • Exceed customer satisfaction measures with a particular emphasis on management of accounts 

  • Follow Company policies and procedures to ensure to Data Protection and customer confidentiality 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience and a passion for delivering great customer service, previous account management experience and previous experience in sales negotiation.
