Internal Sales Supervisor (Maternity Cover)

We are currently looking for an Internal Sales Supervisor (Maternity Cover) to join our team at Birtley Office, North East.  We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Customer Services Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Managing teams of Internal Sales Coordinators and Representatives
  • Coaching, mentoring and leading the team through defining and agreeing expected performance for on-going development
  • Ensuring the customer service aspects of the SLA are met through their teams by instituting and developing a service excellence ethos
  • Ensuring that only nationally agreed good practice process and systems are used by their teams, personally contributing to further development and improvement where appropriate
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
  • Acting as a deputy for the Customer Service Manager

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role and ideally a similar industry. They will also:

  • Be able to handle situations is a positive manner where conflict exists without compromising company liability
  • Demonstrate skills in developing and monitoring relevant performance measures within the team
  • Be effective in the  use of questioning and listening to establish customer needs
  • Have the ability to convince and persuade others
  • Have influencing skills being able to adapt approaches to persuade others
  • Be IT literate
  • Be able to adopt a flexible approach by prioritising, planning, and monitoring own activity and progress
  • Be a decision-maker and  have the ability to adopt a systematic process that accounts for options, risks, and commercial gain in line with the needs of the business
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
