Laboratory Manager

We are currently looking for an Laboratory Manager to join our team.

Role Responsibility

The suitable candidate will be responsible for the management of Tarmac Packed products specialist products central laboratory and for providing high level technical support to the business.   

• Responsible for the implementation of internal quality management systems and for the testing, analysis and reporting of cementitious blended products and related materials.   

• Work closely with Sales & Marketing as well as with the Works Quality Management teams to deliver Tarmac quality objectives.  

• Work with CRH Group Technical Services to ensure the implementation of best practice and other quality needs set out by CRH.  

• Work to develop a network of contacts within the CRH technical community and position the laboratory as a recognised authoritative Packed products lab. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience of:  

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualifications 

• Previous experience in a similar industry setting with cementitious formulating knowledge 

• Experience in Lab environment  

• Experience with ISO 9001 

• Good technical knowledge of the properties of cement and its performance in common applications (Concrete, mortar, grouts etc) 

• Leadership qualities
