Laboratory Quality Control Technician

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Quality Control Technician to join our friendly team based in Barnstone, Nottingham.

Role Responsibility

In the role of Laboratory Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the quality control testing is completed in and efficient timely manor in accordance with the frequencies and testing parameters set out by the senior Technical team.​
  • Ensuring testing results are accurately recorded on the relevant systems to ensure the Quality Manager and Technical team can review, report and react to.​
  • Daily reporting of the testing results achieved during the working day to the Quality Manager and Senior Technical manager.​
  • Engage with daily maintenance of the laboratory equipment and reporting defects where necessary.
  • Working with the wider Packed Products Technical team to gain an understanding of the raw materials Tarmac use to produce our products. Including the effects of inaccurate addition levels on overall product performance.​
  • Ensuring housekeeping and visual standards are maintained across the laboratory setting in line with health and safety, being proud of your equipment and working environment​
  • Adhering to all company rules and policies and showing leadership to positively challenge behaviours and actions that do not meet the Tarmac standards​

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for Laboratory Quality Control Technician will have experience within a similar role, as well as:

  • Previous experience with a similar industry and materials is preferable, but not essential, as full training will be given.
  • Good communication and organisational skills​
  • Competent using various Microsoft IT systems​
  • Enthusiastic and motivated ​
