Lean Project Manager
Job Introduction
The Lead Project Manager is a critical role in helping us become more productive as an organisation. You will lead, develop and deliver process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the Company with a focus on Finance initially.
The role will help to develop the Company's finance process improvement strategy, drive process ownership and develop a continuous process improvement culture within the Company.
Role Responsibility
- The role will be a key member of the governance board and will need to meet process improvement targets set by the governance board.
- You will need to secure resource to enable teams to participate in process improvement activities and manage the project teams to meet performance targets.
- You will support teams in identifying areas for improvement and fixing the problem themselves The role will need to help prioritise areas identified and present this to the governance board, then run process improvement projects using Lean methodology on the identified problem areas.
- The role may need to complete non process improvement projects at times.
- The role needs to manage relationships with internal stakeholders at a senior and junior level and external stakeholders.
- The lean project manager will support teams by coaching and supporting them in successful project completion and develop training programmes for developing talent.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for an individual with previous experience of delivering continuous projects. Ideally within a finance function, however experience across large operations could also be transferable.
On top of this we're looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following strengths and behaviours:
- Organised and thorough, with a focus on planning, scheduling and detail.
- The ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders is essential.
- The ability to influence and negotiate.
