We are currently looking for a Lime Dispatch Operator to join our fantastic team based at Tunstead Quarry, Derbyshire.

Role Responsibility
Reporting in to our Lime Plant Manager, the successful candidate, will be responsible for actively participating and taking ownership of activities to ensure plant safety(own and colleagues), plant availability, production output and quality.
Key Responsibilities;
- Execute SHE inspection for local plant as per schedule.
- Actively engage and participate in all SHE briefings and TBT ensuring that standards and procedures are understood.
- Challenge any inappropriate behaviour to promote safe working, report any unsafe acts or conditions.
- Adhere to all safety systems on shift i.e., Permit to Work, HIRA, and Near Hits.
- Ensure all documentation is produced to the required standard.
- Engage and contribute to safety systems reviews as required.
- Report any incidents and near hits and assist in SHE investigations. Identify and undertake any housekeeping duties to ensure all work places, walkways and welfare facilities etc are maintained to the correct housekeeping and workplace standards.
- Complete all SIP actions on time and in full When operating plant, monitor processors and ensure they are in control and compliance.
- Adhere to site procedures in loss of control situations.
- Achieve Plant Shift operational KPI’s for Schedule Adherence, Time, Performance, Quality, Energy & Loading etc. - Attend and participate in the daily performance review.
- Actively engage in performance management process and reviews.
- Monitor and report on stocks against system limits. Input all required performance data into specified reporting system to include, details of delays, quality and performance deviations. Ensuring actions taken and any potential causes are also recorded to the required standard.
- Ensure 100% adherence to all shift handover procedures to the correct standard, effectively communicate information to shift teams and attend daily meetings as required.
- Report any issues or concerns that have the potential to impact on schedule adherence to Bagging Plant Manager in a timely manner.
- Complete all sampling procedures and schedules to comply with QA standards to ensure product is made to specification. React to deviations as per specified procedures.
- Operate plant, both local and remote, safely and efficiently as per standard operating procedures Continually monitor plant power consumption and react to adverse deviations.
- Monitor that value for money is achieved with all contract labour on shift.
- Monitor and report loading and unloading performance to achieve required cycle times. Escalate in a timely manner any potential issues that could incur a delay penalty.
- Execute the production schedules to ensure right product of the right quality in the right place at the right time, highlighting any potential deviation to the Supervisor taking any remedial action required. Monitor and report loading performance to achieve loading accuracy on time and weight. Execution of all autonomous maintenance schedules on shift. Feeding back to all reporting systems and providing information to the required standard.
- Achieve shift KPI and participate in the daily performance review for autonomous maintenance.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a similar production environment.
Specific Requirments;
- Commitment to maintaining and improving health, safety and environmental standards and you should already hold or work towards IOSH Working Safely or higher
- Reasonable general level of qualification
- Desirable: Experience in a chemical manufacturing and distribution process.
- Desirable: Previous experience in an operational role in the process industry
- Desirable: Basic computer literacy
- Required: Counterbalance Forklift truck licence
- Essential: Ability to operate plant in accordance to standard operating procedures.
- Essential: Ability to execute autonomous maintenance duties including cleaning, inspecting and lubrication
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Problem Solving and fault finding skills
- Lime Processing Knowledge or relevant industry knowledge
- Excellent Decision Making
- Ability to work to a schedule
- Knowledge of Business IT Systems
- Safely managing HGV drivers whilst on site
- Ability to provide constructive feedback
- Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
