Logistics Administration Team Leader

We are currently looking for a Logistics Administration Team Leader to join our Logistics Services Shared Service Centre team at our Head Office in Solihull. Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will report directly to the Logistics Services Manager and Transport Teams and will have six direct reports. They will be responsible for:

  • The administration processes for c1900 Contracted Hauliers
  • Ensuring day-to-day contract Haulier Vehicle, Finance and administration are completed in line with SLA’s
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external and exceed their expectations
  • Providing knowledge and support to transport teams on the hire purchase agreements, lease agreements and contracted Haulier agreements
  • Using the ServiceNow workflow tool, where they will be responsible for the new truck orders to delivery and second hand vehicle sales (Haulier to Haulier) administration processes, ensuring all required tasks have been completed before vehicle is delivered
  • Front facing with Hauliers, dealing with account queries, missing documents, replacement fuel cards, insurance amendments, account terminations and finance novation’s
  • Managing requests and SLA performance through the query and task log
  • Providing knowledge and support to transport teams on the hire purchase agreements, lease agreements and contracted haulier agreements
  • Ensuring relevant SOX controls are effective and compliant
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with peers and lead team in order to ensure consistency of service and processes.
  • The integrity of the Haulier data held in SAP, ensuring regular checks are completed and any exceptions are investigated and updated
  • Managing suppliers in accordance with agreed SLA’s

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role the candidate will have experience within a similar working environment. They will possess:

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Logistics, vehicle leasing and administration processes
  • Experience ideally within a team leader/supervisory position
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience of Six Sigma is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of process improvement is also desirable
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Transactional finance experience is essential
  • Computer literate including analytical and reporting skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to identify and address problems by developing logical solutions
