Logistics Excellence Analyst

Role Responsibility
As the Logistics Excellence Analyst, you will use the vast array of data available to identify and highlight opportunities, generate insights and develop models and outputs which shape and inform strategic and business decisions and value adding action.
Working within a complex supply chain, you will use advanced analytical methods to identify solutions, recommendations and inform a testing agenda, which you can clearly translate and explain to a wide variety of stakeholders.
On a day to day basis, the successful candidate's responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- To produce in a timely and accurate manner the monthly KPI suite for Logistics Excellence
- To track the Synergy/ Value achievement levels, identifying potential areas of under recovery/performance and proactively developing and driving enhanced and improved levels
- Seek and develop new and continually improve existing Logistics / Supply Chain Management KPIs and reports across the function
- Ensure best practice operating processes & procedures are shared between Business Units, Regions and Areas and are being embedded and used
- To challenge excepted norms and benchmark both internal and external industry best practice
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with all relevant Tarmac teams and external bodies
- To produce functional performance reports against budget and other regular reports as required
- Innovate and suggest new improved ways of increasing optimisation and profitability by generating ideas for a new analytics product/service or identification of process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop strong relationships internally and externally in a variety of roles and levels of seniority.
Furthermore, you will have experience of utilising business reporting tools (eg. Business Objects) and ERP systems (eg. SAP/JDE) and be able to impact and influence. You should also display high IT Literacy skills with Microsoft packages such as Excel and Access along with a high level of attention to detail and be self-motivated to deliver to deadlines.
