MI & Reporting Manager

We are currently seeking a MI & Reporting Manager to join Tarmac. Although the role is based at out Solihull Head Office, the role will offer flexible hybrid working.
As MI & Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in producing insightful and relevant reporting for Senior Management to support key decision making.
You will also have opportunity to drive the ongoing development of reporting, by continually looking for better ways to source and present management information, whilst utilising your systems knowledge to investigate key business issues, and design bespoke analytical solutions.
Role Responsibility
- Manages the month end reporting process for management accounts ensuring the efficient flow of information from local ERP systems to shareholder reporting. Works to increase the level of automation in the interface between financial and ERP systems
- Supports the production of the suite of monthly reports to the Group and Senior Management
- Coaches direct reports and other members of the Finance team around best practice Management Information and Reporting
- Plays a key role in proactively developing the long term management information strategy for the business, identifying process improvement opportunities and delivering effective and practical solutions
- Key liaison between Central Finance, BUs and IT departments in respect of management information development
- Business lead for all HFM development projects
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong technical financial knowledge
- Financial and Management reporting experience
- Professional accounting qualification
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and processes to deliver Business reporting information
- Detailed knowledge and expertise in financial and ERP systems including SAP, BW and HFM
- Excellent data analysis and manipulation skills. Advanced excel skills are key
- Must be well organised and able to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritise to meet deadlines
- Appreciation of MI development principles and best practice
