Managing Quantity Surveyor

We are currently looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Norfolk.

Role Responsibility

Joining our team, you will:

  • Oversee the measurement and prepare valuations, whilst Monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of contracts.
  • Valuation of contracts
  • Monitor and manage the procurement of control of sub contract labour.
  • Provide advice and guidance on contract & subcontract terms and conditions
  • Provide input in the submission of contractual claims and provide notices required under the contract
  • Maintain records of public liability and other third party insurance claims
  • Prepare and finalise month end accounts in line with management procedures
  • Effective management & coaching of all direct reports
  • Ensure that all risks are identified and minimised on all contracts.
  • Work to ensure that the business receives prompt payment for completed works
  • Actively manage and report cash flow and ensure that targets are met.
  • Management of contractual risk and timely, advantageous and economic resolution of disputes

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Professionally qualified

And possess the following:

  • Thinking Skills - Consider all potential causes and underlying causes of a problem.  Quickly identify the cause of a problem.  Take full ownership for resolving problems and implementing actions
