Marketing and Communications Officer

Job Introduction

In 2018, Griffiths became part of Tarmac, the UK’s leading sustainable building materials business and a wholly owned subsidiary of CRH. Griffiths has over 1,000 employees operating across 100 sites or schemes at any given time.  

We're now recruiting a Marketing & Communications Officer for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Role Responsibility

  • Develop and execute Marketing Strategy, including responsibility for the implementation of branding guidelines and specifications across the business 

  • Develop and produce marketing material such as Project Case Studies, Best Practice and Capability Statements 

  • Manage our communications across a range of channels and platforms, in a targeted manner  

  • Gather data and analytics to measure this engagement, and adapt communications based on the learning 

  • Assist Pre-Construction Director in marketing to potential target markets and clients 

  • Working with our Social Value Manager to plan and deliver activities in line with our Social Value Strategy 

  • Coordinate specialised consultants (photographers, PR, etc.) 

  • Actively involved in professional and community organisations 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proficient with word processing software 

  • Proficient with desktop publishing software 

  • Organisational skills, multi-tasking 

  • Detail oriented 

  • Excellent time management skills 

  • Basic understanding of construction industry terminology and procedures 

  • Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files 

  • Understanding of basic marketing principles 

  • Competent in the use of Social Media
