As a result of internal promotion, we are currently seeking a Master Data Steward to join our award-winning Shared Services team here at Tarmac within Process Automation and Insight. Whilst the role is based at our Solihull Head Office, please be advised that we operate a hybrid working model.

Tarmac is changing, and the way that we leverage our data assets is moving to the forefront of everything we do. As such, it is vital that our master data records are accurate and compliant, to ensure that they can be utilised effectively across the business.

As Master Data Steward, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of vital master data records. In addition to this, you will have opportunity to drive process improvements and automation across the function.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role, and will ideally have the desire to further their career within the field of Data & Analytics.

Role Responsibility

• Accurate maintenance of master data records in accordance with rules defined by data owners and compliance requirements
• Performance of relevant internal controls and audit activities
• Proactive review and cleanse of master data records
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate data maintenance
• Routine monthly reporting – tracking of requests against SLAs, audit of changes, duplicate and inactive records
• Monitor performance level against SLA for the specific processes within this area
• Monitor BU/functions performance against SLA
• Assist in the collection of internal and external benchmarks
• Communicate findings and improvements to others

The Ideal Candidate

• SAP Master Data knowledge and understanding
• Expertise in handling and manipulating data in Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive problem solver
