Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly team based in Coventry, with some travel to Derby and various other sites.

Role Responsibility
In the role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Working in a safety culture and ensuring safety standards are maintained
- Using PPM’s to ensure Plants and Equipment are Maintained properly
- Reacting to breakdowns to ensure that Plant Downtime is kept to a minimum
- Ordering spare parts to ensure that sites have the required type and amount of spares
- Planning shutdowns to ensure that repairs are undertaken around production
- Use of internal systems in order to keep accurate maintenance records
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have experience of:
Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical knowledge/experience
- Experience of working in production environment
- Experience changing bearings
- Experience changing gearboxes
- Mechanical fault finding
- Working with Conveyors
- Working with mechanical feeders
- Some basic understanding of electrics would be beneficial
- Use of Hand and Power Tools
Education
- Full Driving Licence
- NVQ Mechanical Engineering
- City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- BETEC/HNC
