Mechanical Projects Engineer

We're looking for a Mechanical Projects Engineer to join our friendly team in at Aberthaw based by Barry.

Role Responsibility

In the role of Mechanical Projects Engineer you will be responsible for: 

• Specifying and coordinating the implementation of strategic and complex projects for the Cement Plant, including development, sustainability and CAPEX. 
• Meeting all projects objectives within safety, quality, time and budget, while managing associated risks. 
• Working in close coordination with the plant management, staff and contractors to ensure the successful planning and implementation of projects to optimise plant efficiency and productivity. 
• This role will also require input into all works improvement plans.
• The successful candidate will be required to work with the maintenance team on a call out rota.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Mechanical Projects Engineer will have experience of: 

• Mechanical Degree or equivalent qualifications/experience
• NEBOSH Certificate (desirable)
• Conversant with MS Project Software
• Broad experience in the Cement industry
• Operational and maintenance knowledge within Cement Plant process or other heavy industrial operation
• Experience as a project engineer
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence others
• Excellent planning and scheduling skills, to manage a range of priorities
• Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies
