Methods Manager

We are currently looking for a Methods Manager to join our team based in Dunbar Cement Plant, East Lothian, Scotland.  We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the preventative maintenance program ensuring a quality service is implemented and completed.

You will manage statutory safety inspections and planning functions in line with Company best practice. As well as assisting the Maintenance Manager in the preparation of the maintenance budget and performing monthly gap analysis of costs and expenditure.

You will develop a proactive and continuous improvement culture, the role holder will drive the cross-functional analysis of incidents and maintenance performance and implement action plans to improve both reliability and maintenance practices.

This role is key to the planning and success of all plant shutdowns, monitoring tasks and expenditure to ensure timescales and expectations are met and is the champion for engineering improvements and promotes best practice at the Plant.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires:

  • Engineering Degree or HND
  • IOSH/NEBOSH Certification
  • Management qualification
  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Broad experience in the Cement industry
  • Managing maintenance teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment
