Mobile Fitter

We are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Fitter to join our friendly team based at Walsall Ready Mix Plant and covering the West Midlands area. Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will provide an effective link between the operations and engineering teams. You will deliver a high level of service on various mechanical engineering activities with the ability to find solutions to maintenance issues and complete preventive maintenance inspections on fixed plant equipment. You will be working closely with all members of the facility in effectively carrying out preventative maintenance tasks and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs with a keen eye for continuous improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering/ maintenance in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment, although experience in similar industries will be considered. You will need to have previous experience of hot works, welding, cutting and fabrication. Ideally, your fitter experience would also include health and safety exposure, such as working with risk assessments, method statements and Safe Systems of Work. Furthermore, you will need to be a team player and possess basic IT skills. Finally, you will need to be able to drive to cover the West Midlands area and be flexible with your working hours as regular weekend work will be required.
