Electrical & PLC Technician

We are currently looking for two Electrical and PLC Technicians who will be located within the UK to support multiple sites in the electrical maintenance of aggregate packing machinery. Role Responsibility
With this role being a mobile position, you will be covering the south of England and mainly sites in and around the M25 such as Stanford Le Hope, Tilbury and Sevenoaks to name a few. Furthermore, the job comes with a van and your tools will be provided. Your fuel costs will be paid as will your travel when leaving your house to get to the job and site in question.
It is ideal that logistically, candidates are based in the South East as there are 4 sites; 2 north and 2 south of the River Thames and you will need to be wherever the respective breakdown is.
As the successful candidate, you’ll provide an effective link between the Operations and Engineering team. Delivering a high level of service quality through electrical, automation and mechanical related activities. You will be working closely with all members of the facility, reporting directly to the Electrical manager and Site manager in effectively carrying out preventative maintenance tasks and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs with a keen eye for continuous improvement.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial electrical and automation maintenance or be a competent automation technician with electrical experience with packaging equipment or similar industries. The candidate will have the ability to identify solutions to operation and maintenance issues and support preventive or corrective solutions on automated conveying and packaging equipment.
Essential Qualifications:

Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent

Industrial electrical or automation qualification

Computer literate. Familiarity with computer software (word, excel, etc.)

Drivers license as business travel is required.
