We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative - Weighbridge & Process Control to join our amazing Hints Sand and Gravel Quarry close to Tamworth in Staffordshire.  This role is easily commutable from Tamworth, Lichfield, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Rugeley, Burton-upon-Trent, Cannock, Wolverhampton, Nuneaton and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

As a Multi Skilled Operative - Weighbridge & Process Control you will be responsible for the operation of a busy Weighbridge on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all vehicles entering or leaving the site are within transport weight regulations and accounted for, along with this you will be proactive in our Plant Control System, and be extensively involved with these both on a daily basis. We would consider someone without experience, but you will need to have strong experience working with IT packages.

Your duties in the role of Multi Skilled Operative - Weighbridge & Process Control will be the following (not exhaustive):

• Operation of our Plant Control System – executing process control and monitoring on a continuum
• Managing all vehicles entering and exiting the site, weighing their load, quality checking and recording data accurately
• Recording and calculating inputs and outputs, producing weighbridge tickets, and directing all vehicles to the correct area on our site
• Carrying out the necessary admin work to complete our processes
• Liaising with drivers, as they deliver to the site and resolving any issues/problems that occur
• Liaise with other site team members, keeping a steady flow of traffic moving
• Liaise with other Weighbridge and Plant personnel to ensure that the Weighbridge and Plant is operated during the site’s opening hours
• Answering phone enquiries

The role of Multi Skilled Operative - Weighbridge & Process Control is a DAYS Monday – Friday with some requirements to work Saturday mornings as demand requires position and overtime is available as required to meet with the demands of an extremely busy and growing site

The Ideal Candidate

In the role of Multi Skilled Operative - Weighbridge & Process Control, you will ideally have the following:

• Some knowledge of HGV weight restrictions; or motivated to learn
• Strong experience in Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience in the same or similar role – training will be provided to the successful applicant
• A Highly motivated team player
• Effective communicator
• Professional with all colleagues and contractors entering and leaving site
