ON HOLD - Multi-Skilled Operative

We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at Tarmac Halecombe Quarry and Asphalt Plant, BA11 3RD. The site is commutable from Bath, Glastonbury and Warminster.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager you will be responsible for: 

• Ensuring safe operation of the quarry at all times 

• Operation of mobile plant; wheeled Loading Shovel  

• Ensuring  targets for Health and Safety, production/sales goals and continuous improvement are met 

• General housekeeping 

• Adhering to on site Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times 

The Ideal Candidate

We would expect the successful candidate to have a solid knowledge of quarry extraction and processing, the dangers and hazards it brings and a safe understanding of what needs to be done for these processes to run efficiently and safely day to day. The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role/industry. They will also: 

• Have good communication and organisational skills 

• Have experience of operating a wheeled Loading Shovel  (relevant ticket/licence and qualification) 

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team 

• Be motivated 

• Be flexible in their working approach
