We are currently looking for a National Maintenance Manager to join our Cement & Lime Business Unit. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Industrial Director, this position is a key member of the Cement Industrial Team and plays a vital role in the contribution to the success and future strategy of the cement operations.  This role will deliver continuous improvement in safety & health, equipment reliability and overall R&M costs of the Cement plants, building strong relationships with a both internal and external resource.

Key aspects of this role will be:

  • To support, coach and mentor the maintenance managers and maintenance teams at each site.
  • To drive/promote RF improvement of the main equipment.
  • To drive/promote standardization across the sites of good/best maintenance practices.
  • To interact and build a strong relationship with the Group Technical Services.
  • To challenge and support site in the optimization/reduction of their M&R costs, during the Budget process and the during actual implementation.
  • To challenge and support the planning of major maintenance works (both Opex and Capex).

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an extended and proven Operational Experience within a cement manufacturing environment. As well as be able to forecast and maintenance budgets (monthly and yearly), coordinate and manage the efficiencies of all aspects of maintenance on the plant, control cost for Maintenance & Repair and Sustaining Capex.

Key to your success will be your exceptional communication skills. As an influential and persuasive leader, you will have a successful track record in managing, developing, motivating and inspiring both direct reports and people in your wider organisation to cultivate strong, engaged and competent teams.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • NEBOSH
