We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operative to join the amazing team at our Ballidon plant located between Matlock and Ashbourne in Derbyshire. Here you will be helping produce powders and granules for supply into industrial and agricultural markets. The site is easily accessible from Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Chesterfield, Alfreton, Ripley, Belper, Little Eaton, Derby, Uttoxeter, Stoke-on-Trent, Leek, Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

As the successful Operative, you will report to the Powders Production Coordinator and provide support working a set rotating shift pattern. You will be responsible for maintaining plant balance, ensuring product compliances are met and operating mobile plant.

On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the role will include (not exhaustive):

• Responsible for operating the processing plant – training can be provided
• Loading lorries via the control room with daily customer requirements
• Working with laboratory testing team
• Carrying out daily safety and quality checks on plant – both fixed and mobile
• Attending and contributing to monthly safety and operational meetings
• Operating manual bulk bag machines
• Maintaining housekeeping to an exceptional standard

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an Operative who has experience in a similar role and is willing to work a set rotating shift pattern. Full training will be provided if required and if you have experience in health and safety whilst working in an industrial environment and have a forklift licence, this would be highly beneficial.
