We are currently looking for a Optimisation Coach to join our Tunstead Cement Plant close to Buxton in Derbyshire.  This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

In the role of Optimisation Coach, you will be responsible for: 

• Developing the skills and understanding of the Plant’s production teams in improving the process performance by driving change within the operating practices.
• Driving reliability improvements, maximising fuel and energy efficiencies and maintaining the stability of the equipment and products. 
• It is important that the operating skills and development are in line with the plant and Company strategies.
• Maintenance of the operators training and certification and qualification programme.
• Acting as a coach and mentor to Control Room Operators (CROs) and other operations staff.  Particularly in the area of clinker and cement production, to optimise plant performance.
• Providing an interface between CROs and the Optimisation, Production, Maintenance and Project Teams to help ensure that the implications of any operating changes are fully understood by all parties.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Optimisation Coach will have experience of: 

• Technical/Engineering/Supervisory or other relevant qualifactions
• IOSH qualified
• Pro-active in promoting a health and safety culture
• Good appreciation of chemistry and physics of cement/chemical making process
• Training/Coaching certification or qualification
• Ideally time served in a CRO position or good plant technical knowledge & thorough appreciation of CRO role.
• Good understanding of Operational matters - safety, environment, quality, plant design, maintenance and production KPI’s and costs.
• Experience of Kiln and Milling operations
