Packing Plant Manager

We are currently looking for a Packing Plant Manager to join our friendly team based at our Dunbar Cement Plant. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Production Manager, working closely with the Production Coordinator, area managers and Dispatch Controller, the Packing Plant Manager will be accountable for all matters relating to cement packaging and dispatching of cementitious product from the site.

In this role, you will supervise and manage approximately 14 employees (full time and contractors) working day shift, with close liaison with suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet the Plant and Business Units budget objectives and KPI’s.

Plant operations are 365 days, 24/7 and the role requires flexibility to ensure effective running of the plant. This may involve night working, weekend and Bank holidays and being on call if necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate extensive previous management skills, the experience of managing a function or team in a results-orientated environment. As well as poses excellent knowledge of the Cement Manufacturing Process and/or Production operations in similar heavy industrial/chemical environment with a good awareness of safety, quality and environmental issues and legislation

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or equivalent
• NEBOSH
