Permitting Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Permitting Supervisor to join our team in Bilsthorpe in Nottingham.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Contract Manager you will be responsible for:

• Highway Maintenance works
• Permitting for road space booking
• Managing work streams
• Leading on the contracts needs for permitted road space
• Working closely with internal and external supply to reduce any delays
• Agreeing completed daily working hours with gang foreman and subcontractors as necessary
• Agreeing a programme to completion with client and regularly provide updates to ensure positive working relationship
• Communicating and implementing all contract initiatives to deliver contract and business targets
• Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures at all time

The Ideal Candidate

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires All round Highways Maintenance experience along with Road space noticing skills. The successful candidate will also:

• Be confident in dealing with complex issues, and demonstrate the ability to do so on a regular basis
• Possess knowledge of contracts methods
• Have previous Supervisory experience
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Have experience of liaising with stakeholders of various seniority levels both internally and externally
• Be motivated
• Be flexible

Qualifications/Skills:

• CSCS Qualification
• NRASWA Supervisor Acreditation (desirable)
• Sector Scheme 12d (TM)
• HNC in Construction / Road Building / Civil Engineering (desirable)
• Largely qualified by experience relating to industry standards and/or possess good Higher Education Achievement
