Planning & Performance Analyst

We are recruiting for a Planning & Performance Analyst to join the fantastic team at our Tarmac team at Tunstead in Buxton.

Role Responsibility

In the role of Planning & Performance Analyst you will be responsible for: 

  • Regular commercial reporting and management information for the lime business, to inform effective commercial decision making, track performance, identify opportunities and drive improvement
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reporting and variance analysis
  • Responsible for volume, revenue and profitability reporting, month-end reporting, and market data analysis, contributing value adding commentary and further investigation as required
  • Work with the commercial team to drive performance improvement and identify opportunities
  • Communicate data across the commercial team and support the development of customer solutions and value propositions
  • Ad hoc commercial analysis and reporting as required by commercial team and Lime Director.
  • Provide analytical support and meaningful MI to the sales team
  • Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasting

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Planning & Performance Analyst will have experience of: 

  • Relevant Degree level in business, computer science, mathematics, Finance or Accounting. Or studied towards Accounting qualification ( AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Experienced commercial analyst or have proven financial management experience in an analytical or decision support role
  • Previous experience in MI reporting and commercial analysis
  • Experience analysing and documenting complex business areas and processes.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Good Excel skills
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools is beneficial (Business warehouse, Access, SQL, Business Objects)
  • Ideally experience of working  in a challenging matrix environment / large business plc.  
  • Well developed communication skills
  • Able to identify and drive process change and improvement
