Process Operator - Fixed Term Contract

We are currently looking for a Process Operator to join our fantastic team on the 6 months fixed term contract basis.

Role Responsibility
The successful candidate will report to the Shift Supervisor and will work as part of a shift team operating two high-tech, fast paced automated packing lines that will run 24hrs a day, seven days a week. You will get involved with carrying out risk assessments, fault finding, reporting, carrying out first level maintenance and inspections, and assisting the maintenance team with repairs.
As an Operative you will work as part of a team to meet the safety, production and financial targets for the site. All activities are to be undertaken in accordance with Tarmac’s Safety Management Systems, as well as site systems, policies and procedures.
You will focus on:

Operating of all production equipment

Carrying out daily producting reporting

Loading and unloading of HGV trucks and running material to stock.

Work with management, in the development and implementation of SHE policies and procedures with the aim of maintaining safety standards and eliminate safety and environmental incidents.

Work with other team members to support continuous improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
As our ideal Process Operator, you will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a busy warehouse or similar factory environment. You will also be / have knowledge of:

FLT Licence or proof of training would be advantageous

Safety passport would be advantageous

Working with safety systems & procedures

Operating an automated production line would be advantageous

Attention to detail

1st line maintenance

IT system skills

Effective communicator

Strong health and safety awareness
