We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our fantastic team where you will be homebased.
This role is responsible for specifying and coordinating the implementation of strategic and complex projects for the Cement Plant, including development, sustainability and CAPEX. This role is responsible for meeting all projects objectives within safety, quality, time and budget, while managing associated risks. Working in close coordination with the plant management, staff and contractors to ensure the successful planning and implementation of projects to optimise plant efficiency and productivity. This role will also require input into all works improvement plans.

Role Responsibility
The successful candidate in this role will have a range of responsibilities including:
Owner of the 3yr Plant Improvement Plan related to Capital Projects
Be an integral member of the Maintenance Team, ensuring projects are well managed and integrated into Plant control with minimal disruption
Contribute to and review the project proposal or plan to determine time frame, identifying limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements and allocation of available resources to various phases of each project, including CAPEX applications.
Participate in the development of Plant’s program/project planning, scheduling and resource management practices.
Balance capabilities with demand to ensure the ability to deliver projects utilising qualified professional internal resources.
Manage issues and escalation as they relate to project delivery
Manage, develop motivate and engage large project teams to ensure project delivery
Ensure maintenance of standard governance and compliance for each project
Provide programme/project health reviews, and the implementation of any corrective action
Act as project management expert for processes and best practices
Support post implementation project reviews and the integration of any lessons learned into future project delivery as well as third party project reviews.
Support and provide responses to any internal or external compliance audits or investigations
Support Maintenance department as and when required
Proactively engage in the S&H performance and behaviours of the project team and contractors involved in any project on site, to continuously improve safety practices and standards
Effectively communicate clearly toolbox talks and serious events reviews to direct reports
Manage the risk assessments within the department, cascading the departmental task list to increase the drive for safety and environmental competence within the production team
Responsible for housekeeping and safety standards implemented in all projects on site.
Participate and contribute towards RCA and continuous improvement plans

Report writing to a high level
Experience preparing major project CX requirements
Site management experience is a must
Essential Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical)
NEBOSH Certificate (desirable)
Desirable Qualifications:
Management qualification
Fully conversant and good working knowledge of CDM regulations (CDM Qualification desirable)
Prince2
Experience:
Conversant with MS Project Software
Broad experience in the Cement industry
Operational and maintenance knowledge within Cement Plant process or other heavy industrial operation
Fundamental business knowledge, including financial concepts
Experience as a project manager in project execution from preparing the feasibility study to implementation
Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence others
Excellent planning and scheduling skills, to manage a range of priorities

Strong and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills
Motivated and competent to contribute time and effort to work needing attention
Attention to detail with focus on accuracy and timely results
