We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Neath, Port Talbot, South Wales. We are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Cardiff, Newport, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Abergavenny, Blaenavon, Ebbw Vale, Rhymney, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Pontypridd, Barry, Pontyclun, Porthcawl, Port Talbot, Pontardawe, Ammanford, Llanelli, Llandeilo, Carmarthen and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Project Quantity Surveyor will be working in the infrastructure team supporting our South Wales region. You will support and fulfil the commercial requirements of various projects to include pre-contract support and provide support to your line manager with works commensurate with the role.

On a day-to-day basis, the responsibilities of the Project Quantity Surveyor will include the following (not exhaustive):

  • Overseeing the measurement and preparation of valuations
  • Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
  • Recording, monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
  • Managing financial accounts and report to senior management on the project performance
  • Liaising and presenting to the client on the project performance
  • Securing payments from customers within the specified contract terms
  • Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
  • Working on pre-contract pricing and agreement project costs

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will be educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and be a member or working towards being a member of a professional body such as CICES.

Furthermore, if you have prior experience in working on Civil Engineering projects along with NEC Contracts, this too would be a bonus.
