We are currently looking for an Engineering Coordinator to join our friendly team based in Mountsorrel Quarry, Leicestershire.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the engineering manager you will operate an engineering stores service supporting 24/7 operations.  You will deal directly with engineering colleagues & maint manager/quarry operatives and supervisors/technical and quality teams/site and company senior management.  You will develop systems and processes to ensure stock is well managed, costs controlled and key KPI’s are reported.  You will manage the purchasing of goods and services through SAP for the Mountsorrel site.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working as a Stores Supervisor, Engineering Coordinator or Similar gained within fast-paced heavy industry.

In order to be considered for this role you will possess the following skills;

• Recognized apprenticeship preferably a higher-level standard
• ONC/HNC Desirable
• Challenge people, hold them accountable for job completion and quality of completion
• Computer literate. SAP and Windows essential.
• Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities
• Good presentation, communication and skills
• A positive, proactive can-do attitude, Flexible and enthusiastic
• prioritise your work and deal with high-pressure situations and ambiguous issues

• Have experience and knowledge of Ready Mix operations
• Have strong leadership and people management skills
• Have a proven track record of driving SHE and operational KPI’s (essential)
• Have attained an NVQ Level 4 and a relevant IOSH qualification (which would be advantageous but not essential)
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be able to work independently but also as a team
• Be motivated
• Be flexible in their working approach
