We are currently recruiting for a Quality and IMS Management Systems Coordinator to join our team based at our Tarmac Office in Solihull, West Midlands. This role is commutable by either car or train from Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Hinkley, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Stourbridge, Oldbury, West Bromwich, Walsall, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Lichfield, Aldridge, Willenhall, Kenilworth, Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

You as the Quality and IMS Management Systems Coordinator will work cross-functionally and effectively integrate and enhance core business management systems into the Tarmac IMS through ownership and control of core processes and documents. The role will be responsible for providing integrity to business systems and documentation and support the ongoing coordination and delivery of business system accreditation across business units and registered locations. Offering hybrid working with the opportunity to visit the network of Tarmac UK sites this role provides an opportunity for the role holder to make a significant impact on the future success of Tarmac through continued development and coordination of business management systems and associated documentation.

Your role as a Quality and IMS Management Systems Coordinator will include (not exhaustive):

  • Management of core business documentation and processes across Tarmac business management systems, sharepoint and the Tarmac IMS
  • Management and integration of Tarmac business sharepoint sites
  • Effective change management control for core business procedures and manuals
  • Administration of all business certification including registration with external bodies such as BSI, Lloyds, and UKAS
  • Application of technical knowledge across Tarmac systems gained through establishing key relationships across Tarmac in order to fully understand core operations and processes
  • Management of regular quality control data reporting sites from external suppliers including reporting to external sources
  • Coordination of annual logbook processes including adaption and variations
  • Provide support to systems related requests linked to commercial bids and prequalification requests
  • Supporting top level external management system audits as required
  • Bring best practice from other geographic areas via Q&S team to your area.
  • Maintain awareness of all H&S issues through attendance at local briefings and discussions.
  • Coordinate core data management reporting across the HSEQ function including support for month and year end performance data, internally, to CRH and externally.
  • Supporting delivery of technology projects to further enhance business performance

Key Stakeholders you will liaise within the responsibilities of this role:

Operational and Office Teams – Technical Teams – Area Operations Managers and Teams – National Business Units – Cement & Packed Business Units – 3rd Party Accreditation Providers – Internal Teams in CRH HSE Europe  

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in the role of a Quality and IMS Management Systems Coordinator the following is what we are looking for in a future colleague:

  • Hold a recognised Management System qualification (ideally in ISO 9001) and desirable to have successfully completed a recognised ISO 17025 training course
  • Management and interpretation of audit data, problem solving, coaching/training, understanding of relevant standards, understand relevance of audit issues to cost and risk, high standard of document control, product knowledge, process knowledge
  • The willingness to travel between all Tarmac's UK offices. (The role comes with a company car)
  • Positive and approachable in your manner
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration and influencing skills
