We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work in our South Wales Region (Skewen). The candidate will have experience of a range of contracts NEC 3 & 4, JCT and ICC, experience of dealing with a number of clients both private and public sector and experience of commercially managing frameworks. 

Role Responsibility

Joining our team, you will: 

  • Oversee commercial aspects of the Swansea Highways framework 

  • Be responsible for the commercial management of the framework and your own projects 

  • Liaise closely with the regional Contract Manager 

  • Review the monthly cost report for your framework / projects 

  • Oversee the measurement and preparation of valuations 

  • Prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts 

  • Record, monitor and review the financial performance of the framework / projects 

  • Manage financial accounts and report to senior management on the performance of your framework / projects 

  • Secure payments from customers within the specified contract terms and manage payment of subcontractors 

  • Administration of the framework in conjunction with operational teams including Early Warning notification and the pricing and agreement of Compensation Events. 

It is preferred that applicants are educated to at least Degree level although other equivalent qualifications may be accepted. Prior experience of working on civil engineering schemes, highway construction or general civil engineering is preferred.
